DescriptionMiniature eight-day clock. Cherry, white pine, brass, steel. Case attributed to Ammi White (b. 1754). In the form of a reduced-size tall clock; fully developed case with wooden finials and pierced fret, arched waist door, straight bracketed feet. Brass eight-day movement with rack and snail strike; engraved brass dial, filed steel hands. Jelly label with an ink inscription states "This clock was my/great grandfather's/...Collins/E. Andover, N.H./Ellen Wells Clay."
Associated components include two weights (1994.11.2.1 and .2), pendulum (1994.11.3), clock face (1994.11.4), bonnet (1994.11.5), and clock key (1994.11.6).
