DescriptionMother of pearl sticks, decorated with wild roses and rose buds in pink white, leaves and scrolls in gilt, and an iridescent butterfly. One stick broken. Silk mount painted and signed by Lucy Darnot -- figure of a woman with cupids, tree limbs and apple blossoms; sticks for mount are pierced ivory and mount is trimmed with fine white lace. The fan is accompanied by an orignal box, stored in CS, Box CS-044. The box the fan is rectangular, with a hinged lid. The exterior is covered with white satin and label inside reads: Tiffany & Co./ Union Square, New York/ Ave. De L Opera 36 Bis/ Paris/ Grand Prix/ Exposition Universelle/ 1878
