DescriptionSmall split ash basket, stamp decorated, lined with newspaper. Swabbed with dye, then stamped with designs cut from a potato or the top of a cork. One handle has broken off; one remains attached to short side. Newspaper dated c. 1840. Originally contained a small bible marked "Juliet E. Whieldon" (B1815) and a pair of spectacles in red leather case (Per760).
