DescriptionH2076.1a: Wooden chest, painted dark green, with brass fixtures and small bail handle on lid. Built-in comparment with one brass screw and one brass block inside. Surveyor's instrument, chains and wooden stakes. Made by E. Whiton, Groton, Mass., serial no. 19, (year) 1828. Surveyor's instrument, chains and wooden stakes in a wooden box painted dark green, with two metal clasps on the front for fastening and a metal handle on the top.
