DescriptionBell metal. George Third style. Stem hollow cast in two pieces, brazed together (seams are visible), finished on lathe. Bottom of stem spread inside top of base. Base square, bottom edge molded, broad concave curve up to stem, top edge also molded. Turnings on stem; reel at bottom, then long section getting wider, with two sharp rings in center, wide straight section at top of this, reel, bulb with ring, tapering at candle socket, drip pan at top. At one time probably had an ejector through stem for removing candle stubs, now missing. Wired for electric light: ejector removed, wire fed through stem directly to electric candle at top. Four feet added under base.
