DescriptionTwo piece beige silk dress with embroidered bouquets of flowers in multi colors; pointed front to bodice hem. Skirt is an open front robe. Bodice (COS85.45.1) has short sleeves, hooks up back, low neck, gathered skirt; lace sleeves. 18th century fabric, c. 1770. Remade bodice with deep "v" waist line, 1840s. 20th century sleeves of lace net.
