DescriptionA cylindrical cardboard box with separate lid. The exterior of the box is covered with dark green/grey paper and features beige cotton ties attached to the sides for carrying. A brown paper label on the lid reads: "COLLINS & FAIRBANKS CO., / HATTERS / 381 WASHINGTON STREET / BOSTON" above a hand written inscription in black ink. The box accompanies the hat 1990.21a, a black felt hat with mink band and earflaps; mink button on top with red feather; black ribbon ties under the chin; black satin lining.
