DescriptionBone china. Pair of pitchers (C741-742). Printed in blue under glaze, then painted in polychrome over the glaze. Europeanized version of Chinese design: strong colors distributed in rather heavy splotches, characteristic of much of the Mason product. 1813, Charles Mason received patent for "Ironstone China".
