DescriptionDocument from Derby and Jarvis Family documents (collection 2023.18.1), a collection of about 100 deeds and mortgages to land in Concord, from 1777 to 1909. Folded document. On front, written in ink, is "Deed / Stephen Jarvis / to / Edward Jarvis." On the left flap, text in ink reads, "Middlesex Ss. March 10th 1843 Rec'd & Recorded / in the Registry of Deeds - Book 425. Page 383." Document reads, "Know all men by the presents, that I / Stephen Jarvis of New Orleans in the State of Louisiana Gentleman / In consideration of five hundred dollars / paid by Edward Jarvis..." for "real estate land and building situated in the middle of said Concord...." Signed by Nathan Brooks, Stephen Jarvis, Dan'l Shattuck, and Lydia Jarvis.
