DescriptionMilitary sword (a), sheath (b) and hanger (c). Typical form, Massachusetts Militia (?). Button on hilt of the sword adjusts the angle of 1/2 of the guard. Hilt is bronze with D-shaped guard, with floral and leaf decorations in relief, eagle on pommel. Blade itself has designs of vine/leaves, fans, eagle, etc. Steel, gilt bronze, and wire-wrapped grip.
