DescriptionU.S. Officer's sword and scabbard. Brass hilt; metal grip on the handle. Curved hand guard with elaborate floral motif. Scabbard has brass embellishments and brass rings for attaching to belt. Scabbard is of a tanned leather. Iron blade has a lightly etched floral motif. "Sword presented by Capt. Charles Bowers of the 32d Mass. Vols. in the Civil War." G.T. See A2076.
