Description"Bull's Eye" canteen with strap. Tinned steel body covered with green wool kersey fabric, well worn. The canteen features a cotton strap which runs along the bottom of the vessel and is knotted together at the top. At the top of the canteen is a cylindrical spout with the text: " R.H. Gratz & Co. PHILADELPHIA". The R.H. Gratz & Co. made items used in the Civil War.
