DescriptionPaintings and Drawings from Deacon White's Desk. Artist unknown. Greyscale watercolor or gouache painting of a castle. Castle is surrounded by water, with a large willow type tree to the left. Roof of the castle is dark grey, with various towers and attached buildings. At the top center of the paper lightly in pencil reads, "Chilon[sic] Castle No. 8" Possibly based on the medieval Chillon Castle located in Veytaux, Switzerland on Lake Geneva.
