DescriptionOne of a pair of shoes or clogs (Per2176a,b). The clog is carved out of wood. The bottom is carved out to form a heel and a strip under the ball of the foot. The strip and the heel are re-inforced with leather. The shoe also features a pointed, upturned toe. Re-inforced around the instep with a broad band of leather on the outside and a narrow one inside, tacked to the wood and fastened at either side with a narrow strip of iron. Just below the leather band is a bit of decoration in the form of three curved lines.
