MarkingsSmall paper labels on bottoms of both boots, with writing in ink: "A3-93". These numbers were probably assigned when collection moved into new building in 1930, and indicate #93 in Attic #3.

DescriptionOne of a pair of men's bog boots (Per2027a,b). The upper is made of black leather with a mid-calf length shaft nailed to a wooden clog-like base. The leather upper is hand sewn with learher bull tabs at the top. The base, a single piece forming the sole and toe box is carved out of wood with square toes and two projecting sections across the bottom. The wooden base is painted black. Pieces of leather are nailed onto bottoms of soles on each of projecting sections and at toes. Soles carved with distinct left and right boots.
