DescriptionCut "lace" paper valentine. Front cover painted lavender (purple) and silver. At the center is an applied gilt vurn with polychrome flowers. Text at the bottom center reads: "Cupid's / Cabinet." Inside features gilt and white lace paper, with three oval lithographic images applied--each with a polychrome landscape. Two cut outs of cupid/ angels are also applied. "Cupid's Letter Rack. May it often contain a letter from you." Note on file: English, ca. 1870.
