DescriptionPair of hand fire screens or fans. The fan features petit point embroidery on silk material of a fine square weave. The embridered decoration consists of a bunch of violets and leaves in natural colors, tied with a lavendar bow knot. Initials C S worked in two shades of yellow. Backed with china silk and bound around edges with white cord and fringe. The fan is attached at the base to an turned ivory handle with a spiral grip.
