DescriptionA hand fan composed of a rectangular cardboard panel inset with embroidery, and attached to a turned wooden handle. The cardboard is teal or mint green with raised gold decoration applied to the corners. At the center, the cardboard features an oval window inset with petit point needlework of wild roses worked in pinks and greens. On the verso side, the cardboard is maroon and features an oval window with the inscription: Annie Casper Crowninshield / 1839 / married / Johnathan Mason Warren.
