DescriptionHigh back with hole for hanging, sloping lid, drawer below. Side panels, front panel above door, top panel above lid, bottom panel and back panel assembled with nails. Lid hinged at top with interlocking wire loops. Drawer dovetailed front and back, nail through each tail. Drawer front flush with front panel, metal pull. Top of back panel has three large scallops, hole through middle one for hanging. Simple molding on front edge of lid and bottom edge of drawer front. Top corners of front panel angled. Two knot holes in back panel, not visible from front. Visible surfaces painted black. Writing on drawer. Also called a "salt box" or "candle box".
