DescriptionRosewood ? On top of cover in the center there is a shield-shaped piece of brass set into the wood. Cover is hinged and has a compartment for writing paper, etc. Is lined with white watered paper. Cover to this compartment is covered with amethyst colored velvet and is fastened with a swiveled stamped piece of brass sunk into a round depression in the wood. Box contains envelopes, pen points, stamped Hinkswells & Co.'s Index Pen, pencil stamped A.W. Faber, glass bottle with red sand, silver paper birds, and a red wax seal with the initial F.
