DescriptionTop of Piano with F1311.1 base. Mahogany, inlaid with satin wood. Case in Hepplewhite style. Four slender tapering legs, each two stamped brass escutcheons at the top above the apron. Pedal standard and stretcher are missing. Case and frame are decorated with narrow bands of inlay arranged in groups of one, two and four, and forming panels on the plain surfaces. Inside of case above keys is inlaid with five large panels of satin wood, on the center of which is painted the name of the makers: "Dodds & Klaus,/ Musical Instrument Makers,/ New York".
