DescriptionJabot made from a long, thin piece of black needle lace. The jabot features drawn thread work, with tighter stitches running down the sides than in the center and large petaled flowers throughout: a concentration of flowers at the center, with the largest falling at either end, where the jabot is wider. Mrs. Emerson referred to these lace neckpieces as "barbs".
