DescriptionJabot formed from a long, thin piece of black needle lace. The jabot widens at the ends before tapering to a rounded point, forming a diamond or club shape. Scalloped edges all around, each scallop containing a small five-petaled flower. Mrs. Emerson referred to these lace neckpieces as "barbs".
