DescriptionSilk satin. 2 piece wedding dress consisting of 1895 skirt (COS81.42.2) and totally remade jacket bodice (COS81.42.1) (1946-48). Jacket has gathered shoulder sleeve. Appliqued cord detail to center front closure (hooks and eyes) and sleeve. No collar, high neck. Skirt c. 1895; jacket unrelated to 1890s. Local or home made, 1946-48.
