DescriptionOne white satin slipper. The upper is white satine with beige trim at the edges. The toe and throat is square with a small ribbon bow at the center of the instep. The shoe features an undifferentiated flat leather sole. fragments of ribbon remains at the interior. The insole is white leather with a cotton sock lining. The satin is worn away throughout with numerous repairs, particularly at the toe, rear quarters and heel. One source dates the slipper to 1832.
