DescriptionBodice to three piece afternoon dress (bodice COS0050.0035.1, skirt COS0050.0035.2, and sleeves COS0050.0035.3). Soft taffeta leaf green 2 piece dress; bodice tight fitting, long wide bell sleeves, opens in front; trimmed with folds of white satin and narrow bead trimming; . Green silk taffeta. 1865-68. Earlier sleeves, minimal pleats on side. Bodice, redid sleeves to have the appearance of the bell sleeve, misleading. Bell sleeves part of 1869 remake; may have had an overskirt.
