DescriptionWoman's cloak, also called a dolman. Black Spanish lace cape with ruffles of same type on edges; jabot in back which is draped; has sleeves. Dolman: a woman's cloak with cape-like pieces instead of sleeves (dictionary.com, 12/2003). Style can also be traced to (and is perhaps a derivative of) European hussar's uniforms and Turkish robes.
