DescriptionWoman's cloak, called a dolman. Fawn color heavy broadcloth; long square front machine embroidered in oak leaves and acorns; short back also embroidered; very handsome knotted fringe at lower edge. Dolman: a woman's cloak with cape-like pieces instead of sleeves (dictionary.com, 12/2003). Style can also be traced to (and is perhaps a derivative of) European hussar's uniforms and Turkish robes.
