DescriptionC10 a-d: Two cups (no handles) with matching saucers, Chinese design and style. Decoration: line drawings in blue under the glaze. Each piece has three delicately executed landscape drawings, showing Chinese figures, trees, pagodas, etc. Herring-bone border. Arlene Palmer dated these on the basis of similarities with pieces excavated from a shipwreck in the St. Lawrence known to have occured in 1760.
