DescriptionEarthenware, tin glazed. Creamy yellow fired, close fired. Enamel has strong blue tint; excellent quality, no crazing. Painted in blue and manganese with a diaper and panel border. Center design showing a bird on a rock, with a nondescript insect, and flowers. Star-like form of some flowers, together with the motives of bird, rock, and insect are late versions of a design copied from porcelains of the Wan-Li period (1573-1620).
