DescriptionEarthenware, tin oxide glaze. Body of close-fired yellow clay. Enamel is brilliant, of a slightly bluish tinge. There are numerous holes on the bottom of the plate where the enamel has failed to cover the body entirely. "Chinoiserie," painted in blue. Conventional border design of scrolls and panels. Center design made of flowers with an exotic bird and sketchily indicated insects. Blue has run in the firing.
