DescriptionEarthenware, soft paste. 2 cups (C651-652). Lead and flint glaze, bluish, thickly settled in crevices. Transfer printed under the glaze, dark blue on white. Version of the willow pattern printed in panels. The technique of transfer printing made a design in this form easier of execution than an all-over design. Border on inside of rim, heavy lattice with a flower form at each intersection, with reserve panels containing bands of lattice in garland form.
