DescriptionCup, no handle. Earthenware, soft paste. Lead and flint glaze, bluish, thickly settled in crevices. Transfer printing under glaze; black on white. Design in two panels, one showing a girl and her lover under a tree in a pastoral landscape; the other showing two cows under a tree. Border of lattice with a flower motive at each intersection and a picquet edge - the so-called "Nankin border". Small medallion in bottom of the cup showing sheep and goat.
