DescriptionEarthenware, soft paste, creamcolored ware. 4 cups and saucers (C626a,b-C629a,b), bowl (C630), sugar bowl (C631) and cream jug (C632). Sides fluted spirally. Lead and flint glaze, bluish, thickly settled in crevices. Transfer printed under the glaze, blue on white. Chinese landscape showing pagoda, willows, and other trees, two Chinese men fishing in a river, and another riding an ox. Border of conventional flowers, foliage, and lattice, very European in character.
