DescriptionEarthenware, soft paste. 5 bowls (C633-537). Fluted sides. Glaze: lead and flint, bluish, settled thickly in crevices. Transfer printed under the glaze, dark blue on white. Design showing Chinese tiled courtyard. Small reserve medallion in center having two Chinese figures under an umbrella. Borders: Conventional grouping of tree boughs and peonies. Inside border of conventional foliage and flower designs divided at regular intervals by classic columns - very European.
