DescriptionTea pot, no lid. Earthenware, soft paste. One of three pots (see C220-C222). Forms vary slightly, but all three are similar. Sides are grooved to form a crude flat fluting. Bluish glaze, thickly settled in crevices. Has a glassy quality associated with Bristol. Enamelled decoration over the glaze with a rose design in natural colors, pink predominating. Each piece has a painted panel composed of a bunch of roses with a wreath. Pink lattice borders. While often used in Staffordshire, this decoration is so generally identified with Bristol ware, that pieces having it are often classed indiscriminately as Bristol.
