DescriptionEarthenware teapot (C241) with cover (C241a), soft paste. "Creamware". Twisted handle with relief foliage at bases. Foliage decoration in relief on spout. Lid does not match. Cream colored glaze, very even. Decoration painted over the glaze in landscape design showing a man and woman fishing, and an old man leaning against a tree. High temperature colors; black, brick red predominating. Foliage and flowers at handle. Terminals painted in green, yellow, and blue. Simple round form. Beaded edges at top and bottom. Mole in cover goes through finial.
