Label on underside of chair seat reads: This child’s chair was said to have b / been in the family of Sarah Parkman who / was the wife of Ephriam Wheeler and lived / in the Old Wheeler House. When the Old / Wheeler was broken up this chair came to / the Abiel Wheeler family, and was always / refered [sp] to as My Aunt Mary’s chair, This / was Mary Colman Wheeler, and she left it / to me with other furniture from the original Wheeler House. / 1958 Wilfrid Wheeler [signed Wilfrid Wheeler].
