DescriptionBanjo clock by Lemuel Curtis, Concord. Mahogany and mahogany veneer case. Round white face surrounded by brass with a glass hinge cover (cracked in several places). Brass finial on top of case. Tapered column body with inset reverse-painted glass with floral motif and inscribed "Curtis"; brass scrollwork on either side of column. Rectangular base inset with reverse-painted glass depicting Mount Vernon. Glasses are not original; they are replaced.
