DescriptionManuscript on paper. Letter (a) and envelope (b), addressed to Mr. Eric Parkman Smith, 25A Kirkland House, Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass. Postmarked Boston, Jan. 11, 1932 and dates to Eric's years in Harvard's Business Graduate School. Letter from his mother, Mrs. Benjamin Farnham Smith. Mentions how lovely Concord looks in the snow: "Do you remember our walk to-gether up to see Mr. Keyes' reindeer and sleigh last Xmas evening, and how exquisite everything looked, with everything, fence and wire fringed with snow?" Other subjects: death of Miss Macquarrie, Alice's "Granny" having a stroke, asks him to telephone her at Cousin Eve's house, Dad's Unitarian Club dinner, trying to solve a cryptogram.
