DescriptionManuscript on paper. Letter (a) from Mrs. Benjamin Farnham Smith to her son Eric Parkman Smith at Camp Winona (Denmark, ME). Also includes a postcard from Julian Tolman (b) in an post marked envelope (c). Subjects: his mother's birthday, Aunt Margaret, Cousin Isabelle, Uncle Tede, Aunt Alice, father forgetting her birthday, his last letter had messy penmanship and "would not have passed with Mr. Smith, at school." Also mentions his flashlight and his phonograph and chastizes him to not put off sewing name tags in his new clothing. The postcard from Julian Tolman simply says, "Dear Eric, I've just been fishing off of the rocks. I'm having a corker time. So Long, Julian Tolman." Postmarked Mariner, ME, July 7, 1923.
