DescriptionManuscript on paper. Letter dated July 16, 1924 (no envelope). From Mrs. Benjamin Farnham Smith to her son, Eric Parkman Smith at Camp Winona, Denmark, ME. Subjects: applaudes him for an improvement in his letter writing and spelling, his lost pen, Auntie Maud, an upcoming trip to Deer Isle, Uncle Harry, Scotty's wedding, going to Isle of Shoals "for the meetings", an improvement in his breast stroke and jumping, "For you do love swimming and canoeing!" Talks about sending him a Radio News and Q.S.T. but couldn't afford to also send the Wirless [sic, Wireless] Age [see 2008.10.110]. Also mentions that she is making currant jelly and gooseberry pickle.
