Subjects: letters received in Denmark (ME), making friends, Auntie Margaret's children, Whitney, Peg, Dick Overton, Jaffrey (NH), North Andover, Cousin Lilla, Cousin Harriet, Cousin Bessie Stanwood (from CA), "It was nice of Daddy to let you take the Hudson, wasn't it?" She warns him to not spend foolishly, but not to worry about money either-- "and don't talk too much about it. I don't know how you got into that habit, but maybe it is my fault! Good judgment is hard to cultivate but is a good thing to possess." Also mentions Cousin Harriet visiting Concord to see the Antiquarian House.
