DescriptionManuscript on lined notebook paper. School composition. "I would [should] like to give a little advice to the school Authorities: first, the standard of discipline should be kept very high; second, the importance of athletics should be greatly diminished; the 'students' who come to school to play football, baseball, or track should be eliminated; third, 'outside' activities should be eliminated. A school is a place to study, not get training for the stage by presenting plays and operas. In conclusion, I would [should] like to say that, with all its incidents, my High School Course has been the happiest part of my life and is one with which I am fully satisfied." The teacher's corrections are in pencil on the back of the page.
