DescriptionCherry, maple. "Tilt top table". The cherry top is made up of three boards. The tapered cleats screwed to its underside are fitted over pintles on the maple block. A brass catch on the underside of the top latches into a catch plate on the block. The three cabroile legs are dovetailed to the pillar, the joint reinforced with a "Y"-shaped iron brace. The pillar is turned with a reel, an urn, and a tapered column, and is tenoned through the block.
