DescriptionAmbrotype of an older woman, sitting in a chair. Brown leather case, embossed border, applied floral decoration in gilt, and a brass hook for closure. Very thin brass metal mat, with floral motif at corners. Painted gilt decoration around edges of the case. Gold velvet case lining (possibly faded to fold from red) with embossed floral decoration.
