DescriptionA square handkerchief made of white silk embellished at the edges and corners with a grey or ecru colored embroidery. The embroidery includes a polkadot border, a zigzag edge and floral sprays in the corners. Originally stored wraped around a pasteboard backing, wrapped with an ivory silk ribbon. Writing on board: "Very old handkerchief; beautiful but damaged by time: 'M.L' ".
