DescriptionNo evidence of hand hammering. Concentric depressed circles about rim and in bottom. Attributed by Mr. Ledlie Laughlin of Princeton, N.J. as being made by Amos Treadway (b. Colchester, CT). "Treadway was descended from Nathaniel Dudbury; his shop was in Middletown during approximately the Revolutionary era." Mrs. Paul M. Young added that Amos Treadway was descended from Nathaniel Treadway, an original settler of Sudbury, 1639. Amos was born in Colchester, CT.
