DescriptionAttributed to John and Thomas Seymour. The tambour desk has been a signature item for the Seymour shop since the sale of a labeled example in 1930. "Tambour" denotes a rolling front or top for a desk or table, consisting of narrow strips of wood glued to canvas. Interior painted blue-green; inlaid husks on the legs, cuffed foot. Inlaid tulipwood and satinwood pilasters with beehive terminals. Drawers and pulls bordered by rope inlay.
