DescriptionSkirt for Evening Dress. Two peice evening dress with bodice (COS0042.31.1) and skirt (COS0042.0031.2). Two piece green grosgrain silk with damask figures; made by Worth of Paris; size small. Skirt has wide front panel of draped pink grosgrain, silk fringe and large bow; over skirt very full behind with tie-back lining, train, trimmed with pink pearl beads. Silk grosgrain with damask figures. 2 piece gown of green silk grosgrain with damask figures and pink silk grosgrain. Skirt trimmed with fringe. Worth label ("Opulent Era" by Ann Coleman, illustrated fake Worth labels). Long waist like 1891-92. Asymmetrical drape, a little bustle. c. 1889.
